Dirk Ostermann met customers and partners at the APTA show in Atlanta.
APTA officials say 12,000 public transit leaders from more than 75 countries are attending the show, which they’ve described as the world’s largest showcase for the public transportation industry.
The triennial event also features more than 800 exhibitors in operations, maintenance, safety, security and passenger comfort, APTA officials said in a press release.
“The innovations and cutting-edge technology at the Expo will help the industry enhance service and attract more riders,” said Nathanial Ford Sr., chief executive officer of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and chairman of APTA. “As roads and highways become more congested and employment centers continue to spread across multiple counties, people see the value in multimodal transportation options that are modern, safe and convenient.”
